Dave is available to speak about the Born Ready Project to middle schools, high schools, colleges as well as sports clubs, groups, and camps. The project teaches lessons on decision making and resilience using Dave’s book, Born Ready: The Mixed Legacy of Len Bias, as a teaching tool.

Dave Introduces the Six Links in the Decision Chain

Effective Decision Making and Resilience Builds Leadership

Leaders need to be effective decision-makers and show resilience in times of adversity. Stressing interactivity with audience members, the Born Ready Project identifies the different types of decisions and six building blocks for how to make good decisions. It also teaches five tips on how to be resilient.

“I would recommend Dave for any school or athletic program. His message of both the effects of positive and negative decision-making is a powerful one and rang out clear and loud for our students.  In addition, he spoke to our athletic leadership group, about being resilient, He challenged the group to embrace the present and future obstacles, not to fight them.  Our students enjoyed the dialogue Dave created, and the life lessons he promoted. ”

- Ryan Suchanek, Cushing Academy Athletic Leadership Program and speaker’s coordinator
